This is the latest Primitive that I built, this one is going to the highest bidder of an auction benefiting one our bretheren. I hope he likes it.

WOW super looking arrow, from the two-tone nock to the fore-shaft... Thanks for the look.
thanks for the kind words Oneshot.
Beautiful work of arrow art!
Wow! Art comes in many forms. That my friend, is a work of art. Thanks for sharing.
Mark
Very sharp Tim. You and I need to hook up for a weekend of maken primitive arrows. We could learn from each other. I take it you glued antler to both sides of the massaranduba, then went from there? What type of glue Tim? And what is massaranduba? Never heard of it. Thanks, Roy
Talk about raising the bar, this is obscene! I won't be showing any of my arrows now. :)
That is one beautiful arrow!
That is a nice looking arrow! You have your act together! I need to take lessons on arrow making from you.
Beautiful work there, Tim!
Roy, Massaranduba (sometimes seen as Massarandruba) is known as a number of other things and is a good dark bow wood, used often. Most commonly called Brazillian Redwood, Bulletwood, and/or Beefwood. You may recall My first bow I built (a wood lam, that was shown on here) - it was Hickory Backed Massaranduba.
Here is a link where you can read about it, if you like:

Thanks Ber.
MattE, it was your support, and advice that got me started I owe you my thanks. I keep your arrow over my work bench as an inspiration while I build them.
Roy, you are correct, first I cut the single footing slot and glue in the strip, then glue 2 pieces of antler to the strip. I used TBIII to glue them up. From there its just a matter of removing all the unwanted bits til you get to the knock below it. :D Where are you located in Pa ? I'll be in the Gettysburg area over Thanksgiving visiting family, and my 15 year highschool reunion. woohoo.
beautiful! the best arrow ive ever made was out in the woods. just a branch with a sharp tip and a feather split in half for fletchings. hahaha
Matt I feel the same way. Kinda glad I was showing my stuff a while ago cause I wouldn't even show them now.
Really nice Tim  :notworthy:
Ok Tim, if it works for you then fine. In my mind, I thought you built the nock outside of the shaft, all 3 sections, then inserted it into the shaft. I live 25 miles SE of Pittsburgh.
Very fine work Tim !!
Tim , that is one great looking shaft...Great job..
That is Arrow Artistry!! :notworthy: :notworthy: Great Job Tim!!! :archer: :goldtooth:
Unbelievable!! That's awesome.
Where is the rest of that dozen? Just kidding....very pretty arrow!
