Title: Toelke?
Post by: tradarcher816 on November 09, 2014, 09:33:00 PM
Ok I've always been a recurve guy but I've been eye balling a toelke whip... What do y'all that own them think? I'm looking for some input from those more experienced than myself, any input is appreciated, thanks y'all.

Little experience here, imho you can't beat Dan's Whip.

You will not find a better mannered, smooth shooting bow than a Whip nor one that is more beautifully crafted, period!

I have owned a couple of Whips and I currently have a Toelke Lynx with 2 sets of recurve limbs. All of Dan and Jared's bows are creative masterpieces. They are extremely well-mannered. Very, very quiet, even the recurve is whisper quiet. I will own another Whip someday, but I want the 2 pc takedown so it's easier to carry in my pack or on my bike.

If you decide to pull the trigger, I'm sure you will be pleased.

I have owned one and it was the first bow that I was accurate and comfortable with.  I absolutely loved it!  Mine was a 58" two piece 45lb at my draw.  I sure wished I had it back... You won't be disappointed!

I've had mine about a month now, it's the most accurate traditional bow I've ever shot. I think the grip is what really sold me. I'm already thinking about how I can find the funds for a two piece whip .

My 1st Toelke was a take down 3pc recurve. I LOVED IT! Got to know Dan pretty dang well and he talked me into trying his longbow. Well it didn't take long shooting it before it was my go to bow. Now the Whip is THEE BOW for me. I still love and shoot a Toelke Chinook but the bow that goes to the field is a Whip! Smooth (I especially like my HS WHIP), quick, forgiving and of course WORLD CLASS QUALITY construction and service. None finer IMO. I have been shooting Dans stuff for 9 years or so. I quit looking for the ultimate bow (for me).

I've had nine whips with differing lengths, still have four 64"ers that will never leave. Outstanding bows and craftsmanship.

I've owned several before and let them all get away from me.  I did order a new one about a week ago and Dan said I would have it around Thanksgiving.

His grip is the best and the Whip is the most quiet bow I have ever shot.  Ordered mine to be 60" with his HS (High Speed)limbs and 47# @ 28".  Can't wait.

You will not be disappointed for sure.

Just a few years ago there were only a few Toelke shooters out my way, but I've noticed more and more archers are showing up with one in hand.

My guess is that a Toelke will be very satisfying for you.

You should find no finer shooting longbow than the Toelke Whip. The new 64" HS Whip is phenomenal!

I've tried a bunch and I still think the Chinook is the best bow in the Toelke line.
