Title: Game cam videos
Post by: BenBow on November 01, 2014, 09:24:00 PM
Hid my game cam in a hollow trunk overlooking a spring. I was watching to see if a flock of turkey were still using it. No turkeys but lots of other game.
My first visitor was this mule deer. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWoX5_y5oHA)
2 nice bulls (http://youtu.be/_qML-5kYnxk)
  Crazy Coyote behavior (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1RkWfk0MC8)
This guy had me in stiches (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYxi9MXzNrA)

Here's one more where the coyote tried to get the camera out of the log.
Coyote after the camera or the mouse in this log (http://youtu.be/ISZhgLt-ES0)
Maybe he was after this guy (http://youtu.be/2_iHE8OB-Fc)

Wish I had gotten the camera pointed more to the right because the flash reflected off of the edge of the log which caused the camera to cut down the exposure. There were a lot more of the elk fight that was barely visible. Plus you could hear a lot of cow calling in the background. I know some have problems using game cameras but I sure like seeing the different wildlife.

Very nice videos, one of the many reasons they, trail cams, can be so much fun. I liked the sound, the yote was in a playful mood and reminded me of my golden retrievers playing with a stick.

I have had a few Cudde Back cameras but had poor luck with them, how long have you had yours and what do you think so far ?

Thanks for sharing

I got this in January for my birthday and have been using it mostly in my backyard checking for feral cats. But I have left it out up to a week at different locations and so far it's worked good. The videos and the pictures are clear and it picks up a lot of activity. I've used it with the time laps but I've only had it set for 5 minutes between pictures and I missed stuff that the motion detection caught. I was afraid it would fill the 16 gig card but even with a week running night and day it's only used 1.5 gig. Next time I'll set it for a shot every minute and see how that works. I had a wildgame version first but returned it because it wouldn't trigger past 20 feet and the flash washed out everything that close. I didn't get the camera set right in the log and it reflected the flash off the side of the log which limited the distance you could see in the background. Anyway I probably should have gotten the cabelas 8meg unit but I didn't see all of the bad rap cuddyback cameras were getting. But I very happy with it so far. By the way it's the E2 model.

Here's a daytime video of the turkeys I was checking out. They were there the end of September but I couldn't get out until the second season that started Nov 1. I learned you want the sun behind the camera to get the best pictures.
