Title: Recurve Help
Post by: The Gopher on September 29, 2007, 08:16:00 AM
Hello All, I am working on trying to finish my first recurve project. On both limbs it looks like there is a flat spot on the limbs just past the curves. the pictures are both of the bottom limb, but both limbs look the same. i don't have any experiance with recurves and am wondering what i can do to fix this. Do i lightly sand the belly in the flat spot, just like tillering a selfbow? thanks, Dan.

Leave it as is and learn from it. Change your form for the next one to get what you want.

Yup; you can't change that.

Just shoot it!  Then ensure your form is more "harmonized" before the next glue-up.

See ya,
Marc

thanks guys, other than looking a little funny will it weaken the bow or anything? when it is strung you can't notice it at all. thanks again, Dan.
