Title: Think I got the arrow mess figured out. Broadhead now
Post by: freedomhunter on October 27, 2014, 06:06:00 PM
So I kid you not my ring finger now has a huge blister on it from how much I have been shooting the past 3 days.  I ordered my new arrows at 27 3/4" .600 spine.

Bow:
Bear Super Kodiak
50# at 28"
Draw length 25 3/4"
Draw weight looks between 42-44# on my scale give or take a pound or two.

I shot from 100 grain tips up to 320 grain tips and around 230-250 seems right for bare shaft flight at 15-20 yards with a little nock high leaning.

What broad heads would be best for this setup?  I don't know why my bow shoots this way it just does and I either except it or just give up.  The journey has now taken any excitement I have had from arrow tuning away and I am just sick of dealing with it.

Nothing seems out of place....weak spined arrow but you cut it short.  You had to make up for it with tip weight.  So anything in the same weight range.

I'm pulling 46-47# with my Grizzly and since I wasn't pulling a lot of weight I went with a 2 blade head; figured I'd opt for any extra edge in penetration. 476gr arrow.

Cut on contact single bevel. Easy to sharpen and penetrate well
