Post by: mountain lion on October 20, 2014, 10:06:00 PM
I wanting some snake skins and I seen that onestringer had some cover like the wraps that go on the limbs. I was wandering if anyone has tried them and his they hold up. Thanks

I've been meaning to get a set of the Diamondback "skins" myself for my longbow.

I've got his arrow wraps several times and never had a problem or been disappointed.

I have read many posts over the years from those that have them and are really happy with them and how they look.
I don't have any doubts at all that if I ordered a set and was not happy with them, they would do whatever it took to make me happy.  GOOD place to do business with for sure.

The pair I held up well. Longer than I had the bow in possession... LOL!

Work well, very pleased with them. Have them on several bows.

I second all the above and will add a short story. I ordered a set of the copperheads a year or two back. When they arrived, I thought they looked kinda funny, but i figured it was just me, or the indoor lighting, or...? Then my wife sees them and says they look awfully red. I had tried to rationalize it, but they were closer to fire engine than copper. I sent Mindy an email with some pics for reference, she acknowledged something was not right and that she would take care of it asap. Just a few days later I received a package with 2 full sets that were correct. In my experience, that's just the kind of folks they are and you won't find anyone better to do business with.

I Have used them in the past and they worked very well, and looked nice.

I had the copperhead skins.

And on the plus, when I removed them there was little to no residue

Can't go wrong with Onestringer. I do vinyl stuff and still order from them. They put out a great product!

If you really want them to hold up a long time try spraying some helmsman spar varnish over them to include the limbs edges. The edges will not curl up over time by doing this, but they are not going to come off easily if you ever decide to remove them.

btw... you can do the same thing with arrow wraps on the point side of the wraps using a little spar varnish and they hold up longer shooting 3D targets.

I've had a set of diamondback limbskins on some target limbs for about 3 or 4 years and they are holding up well.  I don't even think about them.  I did have a guy ask me about the story of the skins, and we had a little laugh when I told him they weren't real snake skins.  He couldn't tell.  Good quality stuff, for sure.

But better than the quality, they are some real great folks to deal with and I very highly recommend them.
