Does anyone know who does feather grinding of whole wild turkey feathers?

If you have a drill press Great Norther has a jig that gives professional results.
Don't want to sound negative, but I'm afraid Magnus is far behind, about year for me.
I may be able to help. I have a grinder I got a few years ago from Chuck at Two Tracks. It's taken my some time to get them right, but I grind all my own feathers now. Problem is I'm going to need a new belt soon. Send me a pm.

I hear ya. Its been more like a year and half for me and my father. Sent PM's and they have gone unanswered.
I know he has been through a lot this past year but unless you are very patient, You may be best off looking elsewhere.
I use both te great northern and a jig I built off Deans plans. Easy peasey. You don't need a large drill press for this
It can be done on a belt sander or spindle sander as well with a little thought. Or just free hand it in a straight clamp.
You could always strip them as well. Or do it free hand with sand paper and a block. I use this method for finishing up splices.
One word of caution wear as dust mask and use a shop vac! This dust is bad on many levels!
I send mine to David Mitchell, he trades on the halves. Raven arrows does his grinding, top notch.
I sent him 40 wings and 11 fans this year. He trades for secondary's and fans as well.
Pm me I you want to know more.
I grind mine with an old grinding wheel. Throw on some safety goggles, pinch both ends, and start slowly working back and forth until you have it smooth and even. Takes me about four or five minutes per feather, but you could go more quickly in better light. Keep your index fingers tucked in tight rather than run parallel to the quil. Once you run the tip of your finger into the side of the grinding wheel all will become clear.
I don't thing Magnus is doing it anymore, have been trying to contact him and no activity on here from him.

I hope he is still planning on finishing those already sent to him. Sent some last year and no word as of yet.
Thanks everyone. I appreciate the info and the offers for help.
Folks please see my apology post. Thank you!
Home made straight clamp and a belt sander works well for me. Just use a belt eraser to clean the belt and patience and you'll be fine. Good luck!
