This morning I was out and was fortunate enough to get my first kill. It is a decent 8 point. I shot it high in the lungs and it went straight down but didn't die right away, so thinking i it him in spine I hurry up and put another arrow and in the panic I shot and completely missed the deer. So I franticly get another arrow only to drop it to the ground. I take a deep breath to calm myself and finally shot another arrow right through the heart. After we skinned it I was able to see my first shot hit both lungs. I have no idea why it did what it did. I felt pretty bad about it even tho my shot was a good shot still made me feel bad. Now if I can just figure out how to get a pic on here.
congrats on the buck! Good luck with the picture :)
Going to have to change your handle "triad learner" doesn't apply any longer.
I think I got it now. I used a centuar bow 52@28 and his broadheads on easton axis

Thanks all. Huntnmuleys I was telling my brother in-law about it and he had same thing happen to him once too. Can't hang the now up yet. I can still get a doe and I'm going on a pig hunt here in November. And thanks about the compliment on the bow I'm real happy with it. Not much to compare it with but I really like. All summer long I have been shooting close to 4 hours a day. Went through 2 targets but all the practice paid off I guess

Nice buck. Congrats!
Nice buck. I am of the thinking that I keep firing arrows. You did what was needed. You reacted to the situation. We cannot control every variable in the outdoors shooting at game. Live animals move when shot at. Anyone who thinks they can control it all, has not hunted much. It is the nature of hunting. Great job regrouping yourself and getting another arrow in the buck. What an experience for you! Wishing you many more in the future.
Jeff
