Title: Mass season can't get here fast enough!!!
Post by: hickstick on October 17, 2014, 04:34:00 PM
Fall archery season (deer and turkey) opens on monday here in MA.   so late considering every other bordering state opened a month ago.  hopefully, monday morning will find me sitting in a stand in high 30's temp with my widow in my hand.

This inspired me to sneak in and check the two trail cams I have out.
I am amazed at how many guys are plowing through the woods scouting today, just a day and a half from the opener.
Time is tough for everyone, I have very little myself, but wow. No mature bucks will be passing through my areas undisturbed in the next several days. Yikes. Never saw this many guys where I hunt.
Time to adapt I guess, possibly pull out and try another area. I thought I was looking good!   :dunno:

Hoping to get out later in the week. Trying one of my stands in a new location this year. Set up just of a run crossing a brook near a local farms sap line. Has lots of good sign and easy access. In past years I have found lots of buck sign just on the other side of the brook. Anyway I have a doe permit for zone 8. Good luck to all!
