A long pullover made from heavy blanket weight wool. It has an attached hood and hand warmer pockets. This one is a deep green but it will be available in other colors also. I'm calling it, Shades Of Sherwood.. More information coming soon.

Hey buddy it looks good. How's it compare to my green long hunter??
Nice, wouldn't have it in blaze orange would you?
Rusty
:archer:
Man, does that ever look comfy. Looking forward to more info.
I like the length on that. Very nice!
Roger, it not only helps keep your lower body warm but the long length has has a slimming effect. ;) ... :goldtooth:

I wasn't going to say anything. I thought that was photoshop.
I hope the hood is fitted and has a draw string like on the various mountaineering brands to cinch out the wind. I sure don't like the giant open Asbell type hood. Please show some pics of the pockets.
I like it...
I was thinking the same thing Ray :biglaugh: It makes you look like you have been working out Ron.
Looks good.......Exhale.

Asbell hoods don't have a draw string, as they are designed as bowhunting garments, not mountaineering gear.
That hood on Ron's pullover does look smaller.
Great stuff Ron, I like it a lot!
Good Looking Pullover. I like it having a hood. Josh

The hood for the
Longhunter pullover is a separate item so it can be worn with or without the hood.

SHADES OF SHERWOOD
As I walked down through the green depths of Sherwood
as I walked down through fair Sherwood one day
I met a young bowman all dressed in green Lincoln
all dressed in green Lincoln and singing so gay
"brace the bow oh so tight, it has to be just right
then place the cloth yard against it's side
A strong arm to draw it then gently release it
and true it's the mark the arrow will fly"
I ask the young bowman from whence he had come there
he said, "I'm an outlaw, in hiding am I
The grass is my bed and the leaves are my pillow,
my walls are the trees and my roof is the sky"
"I shot an arrow at yonder Stag there
the keen edged broadhead pierced clear through his side
he ran to the forest where he sought safety
he fell to the ground, and there he died"
"Three blast from my horn brought my men from the greenwood
we carried the Stag to our camp in the glen
we roasted and toasted, of long shots we boasted
no better companions than my Merry Men"
His song slowly faded away in the forest,
was he ever really here at all?
listen...so faintly, the sound of a horn there
would it be...could it be, Robin Hoods call?

I should buy it for the slimming effect alone...
Ron,
Is that slimming effect garanteed? :help:
Hmmmmmm Ron.....shades of a longhunter...??? Where's his doglock..??
QuoteRon, Is that slimming effect guaranteed?
Absolutely.. :bigsmyl:
I have a few of the Longhunter style shirts Ron has sold in the past. That extra bit of length is a pretty nice feature. It does 2 things for me....it provides a bit of warmth on my lower body, especially when siting in a tree. It also completely covers the belt line. Having that layer of quiet wool covering your belt line helps keep things quiet when moving. With a short cut jacket, everything on your pants belt is exposed...your knife, cell phone, whatever.
I was recently trying to sneak out to my stand while carrying my wool pullover (it was a little warm). I had a wool shirt tucked into my moleskin pants. Every step I took, my side quiver "clicked" against something. I solved it by quickly adjusting my GFA to ride higher, but it was something I hadn't noticed before because my long wool pullovers had guarded against that noise.
I think Ron's Longhunter design is VERY practical.
These look pretty sharp!
I like it !!!!!!
I like the looks of that shirt Ron - 'I likes wool'!!!! :readit:
And I like the Asbell hood size, especially for taking a nap in the woods. :bigsmyl:

Ha! Yeah, I snuggle in and nap a bit while out there. :archer:
Todd, I'd sleep with one eye open if I were you. There's a big hairy creature skulking around in the woods and I hear tell he loves the taste of wool plaid but he doesn't like the taste of wool in solid colors.. :bigsmyl:

Ron when are we going to see some Shrew Hills and what are those bands on your bow for?
hahahahahaha!! Ron you are the man!! Thank you Sir!! I will make the switch to solid colors at once.
Stay tuned for pics of solid colored wool in the deer woods!! :archer:
So there I was leaning against a tree thinking that it was just about time for a nice buck to wander through the area...

I see some movement, but it's not moving like a deer, what the heck...

QuoteRon..does that new pullover have pockets?
Yes it does, nice big hand warmer pockets. :campfire:
That's pretty funny Ron :biglaugh:
Long wool coats were popular by the armies in WWII. That longer coat will cover some of the bigger muscles in the thighs. Nice coat Ron

that's an excellent point....those large muscle groups have a lot of blood flow....keeping them warm makes good sense.
I love my green wool Longhunter wool shirt. Perfect for pine tree stands! This Shrewhaven doe didn't have a clue I was lurking.....
