I and a hunting partner will be hunting Kansas for the first time this November. We applied for several of the special hunt areas and between the two of us were drawn for three. Benedictine Bottoms Wildlife Area, Grand Osage Wildlife Area and Marais Des Cygnes NWR. Having never hunted in Kansas before we are uncertain which of these areas to pursue first. Any recommendations on choosing a hunt area and possible camp locations would be greatly appreciated.
I applied for Benedictine, didnt get it but I got Wilson WA... I would go to Benedictine but thats just me. Good Luck!!!
Close your eyes and throw a dart and then go there. It is KS and well deer and good deer are just about everywhere if you can get to the spots where no one is.
