Title: New Timberghost has success! (more pics pg 3)
Post by: BRONZ on October 12, 2014, 08:56:00 PM
I got the Timberghost on Thursday, tuned it and geared it, left for my trip Friday morning, and took a deer on Sunday morning!

Kent makes a great bow!  The riser and limbs are thin and not bulky.  The bow is smooth and does not stack.  It's dead quiet with a few whiskers on the string and fast!  I love the length...took this button buck off the ground!  Only the second time I've taken a deer without being elevated.

Well Done bud!  That is a bow that I would be interested in trying someday.  I love bows with the limbs mounted on the belly.

Mr. Roberts,
Do you have plans to make your static recurve in any lengths longer than 56 inches?  Thank you

It is a nice looking combo! Kent built some beautiful limbs with cocobolo so you might ask him about them.

Brief story:  I'm set up at the corner of a wheat field (3" tall sprouts) with a buffer around it.  Fence lines intersect at this corner with an open gate.  Behind me is a rocky rise that leads into a pasture.  Deer funnel through the open area from a bedding area.
I brushed in behind me, pulled the middle strand of barbwire up, and laid a piece of camo burlap over the lower strands.
Two button bucks came through at 7:30 and paused in the corner.  The Timberghost, GT, and Magnus Stinger did the rest!

Bronz.. I am totally disappointed in you.. I mean, I cannot believe it!!!
You live in the great state of Kansas where 160" bucks are behind every tree and you choose to shoot a button buck... cmon man, where are you're ethics !!

Of course... I'm being totally sarcastic !!! :-)
Congratulations !!! A very nice deer taken with a very nice looking bow !!
I too am from the land of " 160"'ers " but when in the woods with my recurve and an empty tag.... they are all 160" 'ers!

Congrats again !!

I am on Kent's list too and like your riser! Maybe I will ask him to make the same kind for me! I will go for carbon back and belly hybrid limbs with belly overlays, I think that will look great with that riser!

I have a question: did you shorten your GT 3555's and if yes how much?????

Thanks,
