Title: Turkey: we don't need no stinkin' camo

I have done spot and stalk on turkeys for several years, and have pretty much put up the camo clothes and depended more on being sneaky. It brings results.
The new Morningstar is getting a workout:

This hen was in a group of about 15 turks that I spotted about 1/2 mile away, and knowing where they generally go to, I headed out after them, and caught up with them just before they crossed into some land that I don't have permission to hunt. She was the last one in line, and the shot was about 20 yards or so. She went about 10 feet and flopped over.

Now, I need to go get a second tag. Life is, as usual, good.

If you can spot & stalk a turkey you can pretty much hunt anything. Doing it with a Longbow only kicks it up a notch. Well done.

I've had some great luck with turkeys in just a black shirt or jacket.  Like you said though, I really think it's all about being sneaky!

I missed two toms this spring w/my Argos...  Bummer.  Soon to hunt toms with the Northstar.
