Did a short sit this evening hoping to take a doe. I had a nice Buck come by that I passed last week. Nice buck but young and needs to get a little bigger. Short time late this doe came by and I was able to put a nice shot on her. Used my Big River longbow 43 @ 28 and VPA 3 blade. That broad head cut ribs on both ends and still made it all the way thru her and into the dirt.
Great job. Congrats!
Nice :clapper: :clapper: !!!

:notworthy: :clapper: :clapper:
Congrats and nice shooting!
Nice shot and skinhead!
Congrats
Nice shot and real nice shooting bows. I'm bummed, my Big river is going to have to be refinished and may not get to hunt it this season.
Sexy Bow. Good looking Doe also!
Congrats! :clapper:
Nice work! I've been trying to take a doe, but all I've had offer me shots are a bunch of fawns (not opposed to people shooting fawns - I just try not to usually on personal preference).
Congrats! That is a fine looking doe.
Nice! Congrats!!
Cutting bone on both sides and blowing thru to boot with a 43# bow. I love it!!!
Good Shooting,
Craig
Congrats!

She's a dandy, nice work.
Nice job! Good eating!
Thanks everyone. She was very healthy and will make very good table fare. My daughter is Hosting a "Beer Bracket" this weekend and a little deer roast, deer chilly and der tacos will be on the menu.
For those that are wondering what a beer bracket is I will explain. It's similar to the NCAA basketball tournament except that instead of competing teams we have competing beers. 16 beers are paired up. Party goers each drink a shot glass full of each of the two beers and then they vote for the winner. The names of the beers are secret. After the first round 8 beers are left, You keep going till you come down to 2 beers remaining for the championship.
Love it :clapper:
Way to go :clapper:
Well done, gotta love the Big River!!!!!!
Joe
You got that right about the Big River. I have bought several bows since going back to trad shooting and the 66" 21st style bow John makes is my go to bow. Especially when my groups start to widen. Drawing 29" this 43# bow just seems perfect for whitetails. I can hold it as long as I need to get the right sight picture.
By the way if you ever want to get rid of the 47#er let me know.
Well done.....nice shooting..!
Good shooting. Congrats.
That's a true trophy. Well done!
Fine doe!
Congrats on a fine deer :clapper:
Congrats that is a great looking doe
Congrats. Couldn't help but think of the many folks who have had posts here questioning whether a low 40# bow would completely penetrate and be enough for deer! You have proven along with others that yep it will do it. Again congrats. :archer:
Nice deer! Congrats!
Great job
Congrats!!!
