I need to find a good arrow holder, who uses what, and why do you like that model. Show me what works for you!
The best of the best, Kwik Lok. Easy to install, silent, easily removeable with 2 sided tape, foolproof.

I have them on all three of my hunting bows. Hadn't gotten around to put one on the Wallace yet but it's in the first picture.

I use the old fashioned kind. My finger
ChuckC
I use them on all my bows just to keep the arrow on the shelf while the bow is hanging. I always release the arrow from the holder before I take a shot.
I use Sta-Jacs. Not made anymore, but can sometimes find them on the auction site. They're the absolute best IMO. If you can't find one of those, the Kwik Locs also work well as reddogge notes.
Have been using these for many years.Pics shows save position but would be turned 90 degrees back of bow.

Ron-I used the 'sta-jac' arrow holder for years with great success. The best I've used, but as other's have said, they don't make any more. So now, I use the 'kwik loc' and it works good too. The disadvantage to kwik loc is the sticky glue wears off the first hunting season. Someone had a pic of their sta-jac just the other day on TG! Good luck to you this year! I'm out this year due to rotator cuff surgery.

Yes, the Kwik-loc is what I use, too. It is very, very simple to put on and use, and easily releases the arrow when you draw. I find them nearly mandatory for stand hunting. I'm sure there are others that work much the same way and as well, though. I probably wouldn't use it if I were stalking, but it can be on the bow and used if you need it at any time.
Kwik-Loc as well, it did not fit on my Predator bow so I figured I would put it off the front and remember to flick it off before I shot - well, I forgot and missed. make sure you use it off the back like you are suppose to - ha!
I just hold the bow ready for the shot.
Reddogge: That's a nice W. Wallace, by the way. Looks a lot like one I used to have.
I tried the Kwik-Lock once, seemed really tight on my arrow and did not want to flick off easy. Then it fell off while hunting so I stopped using it.
My favorite was and still is the Sta Jac, been using them
For a very long time, they work great. If you can't find a
Sta Jac, look into "The Best Arrow Holder" by Grayling
Archery Products. It's made very similar to the Sta Jac but is
Installed with double sided tape.
The kick lock works good but doesn't fit every bow, the
Best Arrow Holder will.

I use the old standby matchstick and rubber band!
Sta Jac...
I use the Kwik Lok. Its made out of rubber and can be easily trimmed to fit any bow and any size arrow
The Perfect Arrow Holder from Grayling Outdoor
Sta Jac
The best one made was the Sta Jac I have on my Nomad. The other one wears a Kwik Loc, only because I can't find a Sta Jac anywhere.
I like the toothpick too.

Affirmative on the stay-jac, but I am on my last one, been using the kwik-loc for years also, never had a problem with either.
Wouldn't be in a tree stand without one!!
Also handy in a ground blind,

Thanks, I traded a nice rifle for it with a good friend. We both made out although I shoot the bow a lot and the rifle went from being a safe queen in my safe to his safe.
Ha! I think there are lots of rifles that do that! I've owned several of his bows, and I am currently shooting a 60" Mentor that he had as a shop bow for sale when I called him to ask about something. His bows just seem to work for me, something about the way his grips feel, perhaps. Anyway, yours is very nice.
Another vote for Kwik-Lok
kwik lok on all my bows
For those that need a solution to rest, carpet and arrow holding devices when they need to remove them or the glue starts to fail here is a simple solution - go to Wal Mart, Lowe's or Home Depot and get double sided carpet tape. Comes in a roll like duct tape. I use it to build out side window and shelf material and for arrow holding devices like Quick Lock
Been using the Kwik-Lok on my bows for over 20yrs.With some bows I have to trim the part that sticks to the bow so that it doesn't interfere with the grip. I haven't had one fall off. I usually releasy it with my finger when I have a deer coming into shooting range, but they do automatically release within the first inch of drawing the arrow.
kwik lok on my bow. I remove it after the hunting season so I secure it with electrical tape since the double back tape on it looses it's strength after removing it a few times.
I use a Velcro strap but slowly undo it.
I use a Grayling Outdoor perfect arrow holder. Basically the same as a Sta Jac holder. It is efficient and silent.
For the other 3-under shooters, make sure you disengage the holder before you start your draw. Unless you have snap nocks that are tight, the holder will pull your arrow off of the string.
I tried a Kwik Lock some years back. Works great but for some reason I stopped using them. They seem to go away with the bows.
First time I used on I put it on backwards and when I drew the bow it popped the arrow nock off! :o Lucky it was not on game!
I use a Kwik Lok ,if we sell 10 arrow holders 9 will be Kwik Lok
Good folks on here......Kip showed pics of his home made arrow lock, sent me a pm for my address, then sent me one to try. I like what I see.....I will try it and then most likely copy it for me and my friends......thanks Kip!!
Ron,
Tried to post on this last night, the picture site was giving me headaches, so it didn't happen. Tonight though, it seems to be working, so here goes,

This is the improved arrow holder, it does require a small hole to be drilled, but is practically fool proof.
Thanks,
Thanks Tim......that is very simple!
Ron Kwk-Lok no problems. If my heart doctor knew how excited I get when deer are in range he would not want me hunting. Good Lock this season Dan
I use the Kwick-lok.. Never had one fall off. I have them on bows I made 5 years ago, maybe i should install new tape?. One of my friends drills a hole in his riser, glues in a short brass rod and uses a rubber band to hold arrow. I always thought the deer would hear the rubber band hit the leaves when it pops off..but he has taken a lot of deer so it must be ok..
Pretty clever...
