Anyone else shooting one of these? I just got one in to try and I'm awfully impressed.  I'm surprised you don't hear more about them. The grip isn't exactly perfect for me but I think I can probably fix it with some sort of wrap.  Crazy smooth, quick, quiet.  Talk to me Hoots shooters.

No love?  Anyone have contact info for Mr. Hoots.

I sure enjoyed the recurve I got to try.  Bet the longbows are dandy.  Never seen a lefty for sale :/
Does he have any up to date contact info on his site?  His site is still up, no?

Nope, site isn't up. I understand he went back to working a real job and just builds bows on the side and the winter months. It's smoother and quieter then my Elkheart and launches an arrow for the poundage. I read somewhere he didn't make left handed bows.

I'm shooting a Hoot's recurve and love it. I would like to give one of the longbows a try sometime.
The grip is what sold me on mine. Very different than anything I have tried but comfortable and repeatable.

I am shooting a 56"-#50@28" bowbolt take down longbow and have got to say it is my favorite bow and best fitting one I own.
The grip just seems to fit me excellently and with the bowbolt addition the mass weight is also great.
As far as Lee making lefty's this a left hander.
I am in the search of a left handed recurve but have not seen any so if anyone has one you just found a buyer.
I recently emailed Lee about his web site he says he has shut it down I guess he is to busy elsewhere.

I'm thinking a bow bolt hoots longbow is definitely in my future!  Thanks for the email address. I'll give it a shot tonight.

Hmm wasn't aware of the site being down but certainly understand the reasons.  Yeah I bet those longbows shoot well, the recurve was nicely done and performed.
LOL he most certainly builds lefties.
