Thank you to everyone for your submissions and making this such a fun thread!

Hi everyone!

I finally got my associate sponsorship, so I wanted to introduce myself with a giveaway.

As you can see, I'm a leather guy      :)      Armguards, quivers, journals, dog collars, you name it I'll make it, for a price      :D      
Everything I sell is hand carved, and hand dyed by me. All sewing is done by hand as well, using a saddle stitch, which I believe, is superior to the standard lockstitch.

I'm not just here to sell stuff, I love talking leather, and I'm always learning, so feel free to just chat if you ever have questions or comments about my work, or something you're working on.


so, on to the giveaway...

This is how it's gonna work.

To be eligible, post your favorite archery related pic. It could be of you and an animal, or your kid shooting targets, it doesn't matter. Feel free to post more than one, but keep it reasonable.

I'll leave this up for a week or so, give or take. So, if I haven't announced a winner, jump in! I will pick a number at random. The post number that matches will win.



The prize will be your choice of the armguards in the following picture.
The ones that aren't chosen by the winner, will be up for sale in the classifieds, after the giveaway ends.

P.S. These aren't my designs. Most of what I do that isn't a custom order, are all taken from historical artifacts. Some from stone carvings, jewelry, armor, weapons, texts, etc.

Love those guards!  Congrats on the associate sponsorship! I just put in for mine as well.  Glad to see others taking the step forward this cycle.  Thanks for enriching this place with your craftwork.  I hope to do the same with my artwork as well.

How about a picture of the young man that got me started down the "trad path". It's my youngest son Liam shooting targets in tournament at Scarborough Renaissance Faire. He's almost 17 now and I've been looking up at him for the better part of a year. Obviously this was a few years ago  :)

Love my little munchkin.  She's older now, 19 months to be exact, and another 3-6 months maybe she'll be able to shoot that bow!

The good old days... Now he's 15 y.o. and 2 inches taller than me... Hates the compound He needed when he was younger... But has laid claim to my 45# Whip.. But isn't ready to hunt with it yet... My next great hope.. cept she is cursed being right handed and left eye dominant, and the top shooter of the family!!! She is a heck of a 4H bb Gun shooter... She hasn't taken to bow very well...   I will fess we didn't realize she was left eye dominant yet trying to shoot righty... then shooting lefty felt wierd to her...)  Yet, I still have hope for her yet!!! As she is now 12 y.o.... She is Daddy's lil girl... she loves the outdoors and is hard headed like her Daddy!!!

Here is one of my favs.  My grandson was about eight at this time.  We were at a shoot where there was a kids match with two shooters to a team.  This was just about all compound shooters and was a combination of speed and accuracy.  The little league moms running the shoot took one look at my grand sons equipment and threw him together with a little guy who was just starting in archery.  Long story short, they won first place in their age group.  Regret that the other little guy got away before we could get a pic of them together.

This boy is now a 20 year old offensive lineman in college.  Seems like yesterday....

So after calling for bears at this high mountain lake I thought I would fish for a few minutes before leaving. Three casts and I snagged my spinner on a lily pad, one quick tug and it   came loose, flying out of the water and trying to put itself back on my fishing hat, except that I don't have a *$#^%&*!  fishing hat.......... OUCH!

Wow, guys! Great stuff so far, I couldn't have imagined how fun this would be.

I'm loving everything so far. I started commenting about certain pics, then I realized I was commenting on almost every single one, and just had to erase it or this post would be too long to read!

The kid pics are great, I hope I can be that proud of my girls someday. And, some of you are posting some great trophies! We even have a hilarious story in the mix.

WOW! Thank you so much for the generous giveaway.  I'm going with the stag in honor of my youngest daughter Morgan (left in picture) who has been my hunting partner this fall while her sister is busy on the high school cross country running team.  We finally had some deer close the other night but the wind betrayed us.  Morgan and I had just built the natural ground blind the day before in the rain so she's a little trooper in the woods.
