I just came across a Zwickey 4 blade delta and a zwickey 4 blade eskimo. They are blue instead of the traditional green. Any info on the color change?

I forget the year, but Zwickey made the change several years ago. The blue only lasted a year or so before they went back to green. Kinda like the Coke/Coke Classic thing. They're pretty popular with collectors as they are pretty limited.
Are you gonna keep them, or do you want to trade?
Jon,
I bought a bunch of prestine, unsharpened blue Zwickey Delta 4-blade heads a few years ago at a swap meet. A couple years later I took a huge doe with one and decided to retire the rest. After hearing different stories as to why they made the blue heads, I decided to write Jack Zwickey and ask him directly. Click here for his response. (http://www.geocities.com/jwes_72/Zwickey.pdf)
That response brings up one of the many things that has always impressed me about traditional archery. When you have an inquiry you are almost always gonna be talking to the man himself, instead of an automated help line.
Jason,
Computer is screwed up and it won't download photos or almost anything else passed on to us. In a nutshell what did Jack Z say about the blue heads.
Thanks

Jon... in a nut shell. He got tired of the old green and switched to the blue. Everyone griped about the paint (suspecting a whole different head... not!) so he switched back to green.
I'd originally heard he switched because he got a deal on the blue... still believe that because the man is...er... frugal. :D
