Title: spine question
Post by: adeeden on September 27, 2007, 05:16:00 PM
I recently made a spine tester, I am curious to it's accuracy. Does anyone know what a 2016 or 2018 should spine so I can compare?
       Thanks in advance!

A 2016 shaft will spine at 59.3# and a 2018 will spine 67.9#.  I have verified these numbers by both calculation and measuring them on the Spine-O-Meter.

For any Easton aluminum (or carbon for that matter) multiply the stated deflection by .825 and that will give you the deflection of the shaft when measured on an AMO (ATA) spine tester; then divide this result into 26 and you will have pounds spine.
