I am one of those blessed/cursed with long arms. I draw 31.5. I just got a 40# center cut longbow at my draw it scaled 51#. Problem I have is 500 spine arrows all seem to come to short. What does everyone shoot? I'm looking at trad lites or the newer ad parallel shafts. Anyone have experience with them? Thanks guys
I got tired of the hunt for arrows and started arrowsmithing and make my own wood footed arrows that way I get exactly what I want. Took time to read all I could on arrowsmithing and different woods and footings. Then I started to build my own and I must say it is one of the most rewarding things I have done.
Had the same problem..... The GT trads in 35-55 are 32" and worked for me.
Oh and wood works easy. Call Ted at Rapator and tell him what you got and what you want and he'll get it right.
CX heritage shafts a 500 is 32"
2016 aluminums are 32"s. They would probably work. With such a long draw you might have to bump up to a 2114 or 2213 depending on the point weight you want to shoot etc...
I shoot 50#@29.5"
I shoot Gold Tip 55/75 (.400 spine), 32" from valley of nock to end of shaft, with 250gr up front.
