With a busy fall, I was all pumped up to hunt this weekend but the temps are forecasted to be in the mid 70's all weekend. I hope to still get out there and if I get one, I will have ice and coolers waiting at home. So, do you hunt when it gets hot out?
I do, but we only get a month to hunt. And primarily weekends,,... Every day helps.
yes
yes, but I don't like it. Usually stick to the early morning and evening when it is cooler.
I hunt whenever I can. With work and everything these days...it's not as much as I would like so I got whenever I can. The way I look at it is the deer are out there somewhere. Good luck!
Hunt Texas, only 90 today. Ice is the only way to go.
I also hunt when I can. I enjoy the early season, for a lot of reasons, but primarily because of all the birds that are in the marsh with me. Incredible sights. and of course, there are the mosquitoes. . .
Good luck if you get out.

Yeah, going to be 81 for Youth Weekend here. We're still going out anyways.
In MIssissippi, 70s is a COLD front this time of year. If you don't hunt in that, you will miss the entire bow season and half of gun season :)
Mid 70's would be an arctic cold front down here in September!

I'd kill for a 70 degree day during the season! Go for it. Don't discount the heat of mid day either. I've seen a lot of deer movement during midday with temps over 90. You can't stick one from the comfort of the AC!

I am with Bisch here. LA is hot! my usual opening weekend is spend fight skeeters and trying not to sweat too much!
what is scent control again?
Wouldn't it be grand to have a 70s day! Actually we had a cold front pass the other day, and it got *down* to 78 here in southwest Florida.

It's pretty funny when they say cold front and 78 degrees in the same sentence.
What daniel said. Ive been wearing an under armor type shirt under a bdu so the clouds of skeeters cant bite through. Its been hovering in the high 80s low 90s with around 100% humidity. The ua shirt helps keep cool but scent control is shot since every stitch you have on is sweatsoaked. I carry two bottles of water with me also.
low 90's forcasted here as well this weekend, but the deer are still there, and i will be as well...
