We'll it's official. I decided to sell my compound bow after returning form my Colorado elk hunt. From now own I'm strictly a trad hunter. I have been hunting whitetails with my recurve for the last two years, and the trad lifestyle has made archery fun again.

The Angels in Heaven are singing.
Don't know if the angels are singing, but all of

Good for you.

While I applaud your decision and wish you all possible success. I'm not there yet. I do like shooting the Supra (PSE} with fingers and no sights, and it's still fun especially for the longer shots. Smile. I love the recurve for its lightness, simplicity, and challenge. I am considering selling my Anarchy that I use with a release and sights--haven't used it in three months. Today's walk-a-round was JUST FUN. Maybe when the longbow comes in it will be a different story--traditional all the way. Smile. Again, congratulations.
I know how you feel :)

I on the way to becomming trad only, it's been hard for me since all my bowhunting buddies are compound archers.
enjoy your journey. i am hoping to hunt with my LB all season
I appreciate the accuracy of the compound and still shoot one at 3d since my buddies shoot them.
we like to challange each other with some long shots and i just cant compete at 50+ yds.
all in all i am an archer and a bowhunter, i enjoy the flight of the arrow no matter how it gets there.
Life is over as you knew it.
That's what it took for me to commit. You just gotta get rid of it!
Best of luck. You won't look back... I promise
:archer2:
Don't sell the compound. If you like to fish they make great boat anchors...and if it gets snagged on a tree it won't bother you to cut the line! Good luck!
Good Decision! You won't regret it. :archer:
Great decision....I sold mine and never looked back!!
The only time I may miss it, is when elk season rolls around next year.....but I will never know unless I give up the compound. .. thanks for all the support and advice.
Jeff
That's the way to go. Wish I could sell both of mine. You ever tried to sell a left hand anything :banghead:

Sir, step away from the wheels!
Trad does make shooting just fun
I still have a wheel bow that I have set up as a barebow - Reflex Caribou 2, 46" ata. I have to admit that I love that bow and enjoy shooting it. And it's actually quieter than my widow! I'm going to do my best to not take it hunting this year but I don't think I will ever get rid of it. I only wish that I could shoot my trad bows as well as that one and get as clean a release as I can with my 'bou. lol.
