Hello,
I can not find the right gold tip traditional for my black widow PSAX.
He is 62 inches and 53 pounds at 28 inches.
My draw is 28,5 inches and I cut my arrow at 29,5 inches. My string is a SBD 8 stands or 12 strands astroflight.
At present I use a gold tip traditional 5575 cut at 29.5 inch, with 50 gr insert and 125 gr field, 3 x 4" feathers, wraps and gold tip nock.
It is for making 3D.
thank you
Théophile
I have tried to shoot gold tips on two occasions and could never to get them to tune. I went to easton axis shafts several years ago and never looked back. I had Rick Welch send me arrows for a set up and I could not get them to fly. Never had no luck with them.
60" MAII 60# @28", draw 27" GT 55/75 cut 29", 145 gr. tips, standard aluminum inserts with 3 5 inch fletch and 3 gr./inch weight tubes. They fly perfect.
From old Stu's Calculator, if you like your arrows 29.5"?
GT Trad. 7595, 29.5", 175 pt, 50 insert, 3x4" feathers, 8 strand, will give you 568gn, 10.4gpp, 18.2 foc, arrow spine 80.8, spine required 79.3: If you use the 12 strand 29.5", 200pt., 50 insert, 3x4" feathers, will give you 593 gn, 10.9gpp, 19.6 foc, 74.6 arrow spine, spine required 76.5. You might want to get a test kit, hope this helps!
I prefer cut to 29,5 inch.
I think with carbons, it works better to cut the length to fit the bow rather than cutting to a pre-set length. You can achieve far greater changes in dynamic spine with length changes than with point weight alone.
ok, I try
