Thinking about ordering a bow for my son in Arizona. Juniper is one of his favorite trees out here. Does anyone have pics of juniper laminations? Does anyone use mesquite?
There's a picture or 2 on the Fox Bow site, and I have a Whip that's been owned by a couple lefties here.

Found another one on the Toelke site - the longbow limbs.

Thanks!
I hope we get pics of mesquite being used.

Good for you buddy. Danny will love it.
Great Plains makes a bow with mesquite
Great pics...juniper looks great on limbs or in a riser, one of the woods I was kicking around when I ordered my Northern Mist from Steve, but I ended up going with Osage....may have to order another. :)
I had a Wesley Special that had Juniper under clear glass and it was beautiful. I don't believe I have pictures of the limbs though.
I had a Robertson recurve with juniper veneers. Can't seem to find photos of it...
I hope this comes out O.K., been a long time since I posted photos... (http://i205.photobucket.com/albums/bb2/BRLMKR/RobertsonRecurves011.jpg) (http://s205.photobucket.com/user/BRLMKR/media/RobertsonRecurves011.jpg.html)

No pictures but juniper makes a striking bow. I have two juniper backed HHA bows. Coupled with bamboo, they not only look good but are also outstanding performers. Ask Jason, at Howard Hill Archery, what he thinks of juniper. :campfire:
