is this the proper place to show off a few pics of my new bow?
this is my first bow. its a little crow.
backstory: i went to ETAR this year and all the bow makers are nice but this one guy, lee waltman, was standing behind the table of little crow bows. they were the most ornate bows and beautiful bows. the nicest ones were 1500 bucks.
long story short, this guy wasnt a salesman, he was an artist and compassionate about his trad bows. he wasnt over protective of his bows, he wanted people to shoot and enjoy his bows. he handed me the 1500 dollar one made of exotic woods and told me to go shoot it and come back later. i was thinking he was way too trusting. this was my first time around this whole industry so this trusting attitude blew me away.
so after shooting a few of his bows on sunday, everyone was shutting down and he was about to leave when he came out and shot with me for an hour and gave me some pointers. then he started packing up, he didn't even try to close a sale with me, lol. he was just having a good time with a newb trying to learn to shoot.
i was going to buy a bow but i hadn't decided which one because i like them all! so i went ahead and told him i want one of his. so i had him take a bow he already had and change the grip and finish for me. he just mailed it to me this week.
it was a cool experience for me and i thought i would share.
