Early Friday morning I headed out to spend the day looking for a moose. I came across this small bull feeding in a clearing and made a lung shot at about 20 yds. He ran about 100 yds and piled up on a little patch of dry ground in the middle of a swampy bottom.
Look hard, you'll see some antlers!
Praise the Lord for a successful day and some tender meat to enjoy.
Shot it with my 63# Black Widow PMA with a magnus two blade head and had a pass through.
After packing the last load of meat I also made a stalk on a coyote but missed on my shot as he turned to run. It was a good morning!

Dan, the top picture is GFA's silent stalker pattern - perfect in my opinion for the fall colors. The picture while skinning is a Pendleton wool plaid shirt.

Awesome! I had a chance at one a bit smaller than that on opening day. Just wasn't sure if it was legal. I'm going to try again in an archery only area once the rut gets in gear.

Very cool. Now I am feeling a little silly for not shooting a whitetail doe last night that walked right under me. All I could think was it was Sunday night and I didn't want all the work that comes with a kill. I have no idea what work is after a kill do I? Haha
Looks tasty, congrats!
