Congratulations nice bear, but I had to stand on my head to see it. :biglaugh:
Congrats on the bear!! What is holding you and the bear to the ceiling?
You apperently just flipped out! I know I would have after taking that bear for a first trad kill.
CONGRATS to you SIR!!!!
New Zealand or Australia? Obviously "down under" somewhere... Congrats!!!
Sorry guys, this is the first time trying to post a picture, I forgot to add any comments.
This is my first ever trad kill. Alaska, Prince William Sound. Spot and stalk. Im just as proud of the stalking part as I am of the bear. I had a great time. I stalked up to 16 yards. He never new I was there. My first arrow spined him and my second arrow was a pass through and he died in a couple of minutes. It was a very exciting time. I feel really blessed. I thank God and My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It was an Awesome time. I was using a bob lee 66lb with Beman ICS arrows with a Zwicky Eskimo bh. Total weight was 560 gn. I have to say that Zwicky's are a awesome broad head. After hitting the spine there was no damage to the head. It was ready for another shot. Thanks to all who answered all my questions and help out with my set up. Gilbert
Are some of you seeing it upsidedown? Im seeing it ok a little small but still ok.
Congradulations!!! So much for gravity. Hap
Yeah I am seeing it upside down

I was watching a hunting show today and they said they were going to stalk a bear in Alaska. They ended up taking a boat down the river and shooting it at 200 yards!!! You need to show these guys what stalking really is. Great job and congrats!
You snuck up on a bear and stuck him with an arrow
for your first traditional kill!!!???
I was expecting to see a nice doe or something.
But a BEAR!
Sincere congratulations. Something few people will
EVER do!

Atta boy!!! And he's a really nice one too! Feels good doesn't it. CK
Thanks for all the kind words. I practiced on a cardboard cut out all year. My wife just quite asking what I was doing, she new it had to do with shooting a bear. I'd come home from work give everybody their hugs and kisses and grab the bow and start shooting. The hunt was a lot of fun. A lot of bears. I had stalked a few but they would hear me or smell me and run off. On this stalk everthing was just perfect. The wind was right and he was busy eating fish on the edge of a creek. On my first approach I got to about 25 yards to him but his head was facing me and he was quartering away. So I back tracked and moved to the right and back up again and got a full broad side shot. Like I posted earler, my first shot was a little high and hit him behind the shoulder and in the spine. He couldn't run off but he draged himself across the creek and into heavey brush. He was bawling like crazy. My second arrow missed and hit a branch. It was the 3rd arrow that did the trick. I did shoot a forth but missed. It was a very exciting time for sure. I also have it on video, thats awesome. If I can figure how to do it, I'll post the clip. After I reveiwed the video I realized that my shot was not that far off. His head was down and crouched a little bit so I thing that put his spine just a little lower plus with all the fur its a little deceiving. looking forward to next year. Thanks again everyone. Gilbert
