And here's the idiot at the end of it. Face not shown to hide embarrassment.

Be careful! More careful than me. :)
Ooohhh my... my prayers are with you bro!
seems fairly easy to follow. kidding aside, OUCH! nice looking arrows though.
I'm not afraid to show your face! LOL I bet you would score about 120 inches P & Y.
I sure hope so because your wife said she'd never mount anything under 120" :D
Didn't hurt. I'm guessing that means they are sharp. Could have been a lot worse. Not the first time or the last time but hopefully I start learning!
Eric
My finger hurts now...Thanks
Glad its just a little slice and your good

:biglaugh:
That's going to leave a mark..
LOL, sometimes we get too good at sharpening. Recently I was sharpening a bunch of knives. On occasion I'd shave a bit of hair off my upper arm, until I realized that I had also shaved a microscopic layer of skin off at the same time. Yes, ideally we'd learn over time............I'm 65 and it hasn't happened yet.
The worst part is holding direct pressure on the cut and wondering and waiting until you can see how deep it is and decide whether a trip to the Dr is necessary.....
At least you know they are sharp!
Ok...I feel much better now. Just got a package in the mail. Some sweet yew bow wood from Mike at Rose Wood Archery. :)

Hate to say it, but I been there done that and have the scar to prove it.

Yah...my wife is jealous of my arms. Not a bit of hair left on them!
In thus case at least it wasnt a heart or lung shot. Lol
Ouch! it is a bad feeling when you cut yourself like that. (I know from experience ;) ) I am glad "yew" are feeling better!
Your a hell of a tracker, did you have to put another arrow into ......yourself?
There's bubbles in it..........a double lung for sure
Ouch! As soon as I saw a pic from inside the house I knew what you did. (Been there myself).
At least I know I'm in good company. Problem with those "ones that don't hurt" is they won't stop bleeding and heal very slowly. Pain is a good thing.
Heal quick.
homebru
A blood trail through the home is never good but honestly I feared way worse! Glad u r ok!
Been there done that. No hero pics though
Oops! I hate it when that happens!
Bisch
Bummer! Glad you were not hurt seriously. Have you tried pouring black pepper into cuts like that? It helps. No, it does not sting, but it helps clot the blood. Of course, if it is a big cut, you need to go to the ER. Look at the upside, you can practice blood trailing without having to leave the house.
Careful Dude....those things are sharp :D
Other than the leaky finger, how've ya been Eric. Missed seeing you guys at the GLLI.
We have a bleeder! Kidding aside I hope you heal up quickly.
Even two days later I recommend putting some super glue on it. It can stop the bleeding when the cut is fresh and keep you from re-opening it later. Cuts from sharp blades really do heal faster. - John
I've been good Eric. Had a wedding I had to go to so I missed the GLLI. Been doing good and busy for a teacher in the summer. I'm excited to see if these antler restrictions will have us seeing some better bucks up here. I hope you get some time in the woods!
I might try the super glue on this cut. That will keep it shut and prevent oozing....
Eric
I had to cancel the GLLi plans at the last minute, my Ma had bad spell and was in the hospital so I hung around there.
Got a lot of work scheduled...just hope it dont turn into a chinese fire drill like it can in the fall.
Keep that finger outa...'er dont get it infected. :D
Good luck in the woods Bud!
Eric
