Any crop update from NY?Apples are some what plentiful in my area, haven,t found any beechnuts yet.A few acorns also.

Not a lot of apples at the farm where we ride horses but I'm comparing them to last year when we had the biggest bumper crop I've ever seen.
I have been seeing red oaks dropping at the horse farm and deer have been picking them up on the way to the corn field.
I have not found any beech from this year yet.

On my property apples are few but I have never seen so many acorns both red and white. Also with all the rain browse is thick . I haven't gone up in my beech yet to look .

The reds have been dropping in my yard for several weeks . I am in Grafton at 1500 ft. The acorns are not full size and green . It is not uncommon for this to happen . We went through 10 + year's with few if any acorns . Last year lots of all mast crops . I have oaks all around me ( few too no whites ). There are few if any squirrels , and few dear left around me . If I hunt hard I can see 1-2 deer a day, we'll 10 years ago a after noon walk I could see 12 or more . It is my hope that the mast we'll last for years to come and all the game will return . I am headed for Maryland in a few days and I hope the marsh oaks are loaded .
May life's simplest things bring you the greatest pleasures !!!

Agree that wild apples are sparse this year. Red oak acorns seem OK and hickory nuts are perhaps low or normal.
The berries seem OK. Lots of low browse.
