I have been keeping close tabs on some deer in a small public area. Unfortunately I won't be there till Monday. Who's gonna be out dealing with this heat? If so, where will you be going? Good luck.
Unfortunately I had back surgery a few weeks ago and won't be making it out Saturday. Hopefully by the end of the 6 week season I will be able to sneak out some. That will all depend on my recovery.
Good luck to everyone else, have a great season!
Westmoreland County here, but I work this weekend and hate Hunting in the heat. Not going out till things cool off.
I'm gonna be on a sheet of ice in Altoona Saturday and in Castle Shannon next Saturday. Besides, I have some AL siding and a porch roof to finish before I can chase Bambi. Like others, hunting in the heat is just too much trouble for me to deal with right now. I'll wait for cooler weather.
I'll be out, Schuylkill County area. Seen these the other day while doing a little recon of my hunting area.

I'll be out in York Co. I've hunted both of my spots before, So I didn't do alot of scouting. But, I'm ready!!!
it will be alittle to warm but I'll be out anyway.I willbe in one of the York county parks. good luck all.Tracy.
I'll be out in Schuylkill county as well. I gotta go even in the heat. Days off work are too tough to come by. I'll go out every day I can.
Heading up to my old haunts in Centre county to hunt with an old friend and 2 of his triplet boys, now 15. This should be a hoot!
Talkin about heat..went to MD last weekend... drizzlin before daylight..70 degrees at daybreak and no matter how slow I moved...one small hill and I was drippin...kept spraying down but gave up... basic scouting trip on the ground. Found some ole haunts from 3 seasons back and reconnected to the area...
Them rebel boys got it figured out how's to hunt the heat...us yankess suck at it.  :banghead:
Well good luck to the other PA trad guys. I'll be heading out to try and harvest my first with trad gear.
At my brothers farm, there are numerous doe coming to an alfafa field in the early afternoon. Gonna try to have a doe come within 20 and see how it goes.
(I have to be honest though. Saturday morning I will carry the compound. I'll be hunting my farm and the possible shot/s from the stand I'll be hunting are beyond my comfort range.)
Good luck and be safe!
Rick
Cambria County - I dont like the heat but when there are only so many days to hunt in a year I will take every minute that I can.
