Have couple of game cameras out for several months. corn and mineral salt nearby and seeing several deer. 2wks ago I picked up apples off the ground below a tree in my parents yard. this time several pics of coyotes nosing around the apples.
anybody else seen similar? I don't want to do anyting to attract those - my space to hunt is very small.

Yep. They love them. Look thru the trail cam threads. I've posted a few pics of them over the years.
I have seen coyotes jumping for fruit and berries all four feet in the air at the same time. Looks hilarious! :archer:
Lots of picks over the years of them stealing apples and pears on our cams. If I can find it I have a pick of a coyote a couple coons some deer and turkeys all together feeding at the same time on apples. Pretty cool picks!!!

Caught a pup eating on fallen crab apples in the yard a few years back.
I sure know they wiped out our watermelon watch this year.

I've seen apple skins in coyote and fox scat lots of times. Guess I have strange hobbies. TonyZ.
Never on apples but I watched two eat every fallen peach under two peach trees I actually think they were getting loopy on the fermented fruits
Them darn things will eat anything.......
Ron W said it....they will eat anything.
They are opportunistic omnivores just the same as we are.
Yep, I watch them eating apples out back all the time.
Heck, I never see any deer eating my apples, just the coyotes..! :banghead:

my thoughts exactly.
Yup, where I work there is a coyote that comes around at night. On a whim I threw him a piece of apple and a core and he gobbled them right up. Coyotes are survivors, they'll eat whatever it takes to stay alive.
That's one reason I hunt nut and fruit orchards. They love fruit and the rodents that they draw.
