I have noticed that some of my arrows are starting to crack around the nocks. I now don't use them! Do other people have this problem. The arrows are about 2-3 years old.
I've had some carbons crack on the nock end, usally comes from stump shooting or hitting a hard object. You can epoxy on a small footing like 3/8 to 1/2" long.I like to epoxy in a G-bushing on carbon arrows and use a G-nock.I feel the bushing epoxied in will strengthen the nock end also.
I have never seen it happen during normal use...that is to say without hitting something hard. They will all crack at the nock end when you do that.
Thanks,BigJim
What nocks are you using? Could it be the nocks are too big and stressing the carbon, resulting in splits?
I am using the nocks that came with the arrows. They still feel snug in the arrows. I think I am going to glue them in. See where that leads.

Exactly.Nock collars or footings made from aluminum shafting.I don't shoot carbons without them.
