Post by: Slickhead on August 27, 2014, 03:50:00 PM
I tell you after lugging , pulling and putting up my ladder stand, I understand why people hunt from the ground.
Now I need to move it and its 95 degrees.
Man Im thinking "how much scrap it will bring" LOL

I don't hunt from ladder stands but if I did and had to move one myself I'd use a jet sled. 25 bucks and will drag easy over everything. I use one for dragging bear bait and stuff. Makes life so much easier.

I would recruit a buddy.  Ladder stands all alone can be a dangerous proposition.

Just a thought.

The Traditional Ground Hunting Brotherhood of the World welcomes you.

Ditch the stand and I will email you information about the secret handshake.    :biglaugh:

My ladder stands are for where I can drive my truck or ATV right to the tree, usually on my private property. No lugging those heavy things around for me! If I gotta walk far, it's a portable hang-on stand.
