I'll be using my new Axis Traditional shafts for hunting this fall. They look cool and fly great. Anyone else using these arrows and what are your thoughts about them?
Yeah I love them. Those and the full metal jackets are the best I've found.
I'm shooting 56@27" w/ a 28.5" 400 shaft
I use 75gr inserts with 200gr heads. I also put a 2" aluminum footing on them using a 2016 aluminum shaft. This makes a just over 600 grain rig.
You will very very pleased with penetration if you have enough up front!
A couple of my friend were using the 600 spine and they are breaking if they hit anything hard. They don't seem as tough as the Beman MFX classics.LCH
I love my .400 spine. I have them footed with 1" of 2018 autum orange shaft
I love them I shoot the 500 spine, and have bought other arrows as we'll but always go back. I've put them through the fence even into a cinder block wall, and and a few white tails, and have never had one break, still have and shoot a few from the first batch I ever bought. You can't go wrong with em
I love mine , super tuff and flight is awesome!!!
I love then and shoot them a lot. They have become my everyday normal arrow and I just bare shaft tuned my RER with them with great results.
Smaller diameter for better penetration, adjustability with 50/75 gr. brass inserts and feathers stick no problem. I shoot 400 and 500 spine depending on bow. I cut them down on both ends since straightness tolerance is .003 and they measure that from center out. Spine tolerance is good based on others test results but I have not spine tested before.
I have had the front of shaft break on bad shot that hit large rock, but...
I am testing some "high end" shafts but really do like the a axis shafts.
Ole Fred Eichler shoots them with plenty of success if that means anything. I like them!
Picked up a dozen of these for a travelling hunt to Idaho (don't want to risk woodies on a plane) and just finished broadhead tuning today. Like them a lot!
I've heard nothing but good things about them. Anybody tried them with 4 feathers? Just got some 500s and was wondering about the skinny shaft with 4 - 4" feathers ( "normal" helical) . Curious about shelf clearance and possibly the feathers touching or being real close together on the shaft. Will that cause a problem for me? Thanks

I'm a big fan of Axis arrows. The only thing I shoot these days. :thumbsup:

I also should note I usually foot the first inch and a half with a 2018 on my 400's. It really beefs up the strength of the point.
I used Beman MFX Classics for three years and switched to the Axis Trads last season. I love them. I really liked the MFX but these Axis Trads are even more durable. I have never broken one.
I'll be using the Axis Trads or FMJ Injexions this season. I'll find out on September 1st or 2nd (tuning session).
If you foot them they maybe better but I really don't like mine I have the 340 shaft and the hidden insert makes the tip of the shaft weak in my opinion hit something that's remotely hard and it will curl the tip in front of the insert.
I bought some on the classifieds a while back on a great deal. They are 500's with 100 grns up front and I am shooting 145 grn field points. They are cut at 29 1/2 and they fly great out of several bows I have between 49 and 54#'s ... I shoot 185 grn BH's and they fly great too ....
Fond of mine , I just got done tuning my arrows to my new (to me) widow and they are a great arrow.
Thanks for all the good comments guys! I have the 600's with a 50 gr brass insert and i'll be using a 2 blade 125 gr Magnus Stinger up front. For a total weight of about 420 gr. I'm shooting my new Stalker Coyote 56" with static limbs. I'm pulling about 41# at my draw length. I love how these arrows are flying out of my Stalker.
