I have a Thunder Horn Boa quiver that I love. The only thing I do not like about it is when I shoot the rubber straps make a slap sound. I have been looking into their Sidewinder quiver. Do any of you guys use this quiver and what are your thoughts on it.
I have the thunder horn and adjusted the straps so I use the last hole that way the tails are short and don't slap. I also tuck the little tail back in where the strap goes through the quiver.
You can adjust the straps by popping out the plastic retainer ( the piece with the nub that you put into the appropriate hole to fasten the quiver to your bow) and cut the back end of the strap so that there is no tag end to flap around when you put the little nub in the proper hole for your bow.
Pull the straps thru the "gripper", and set the peg in the next hole in the strap. You can fully adjust them for limb with. You should not have any strap hanging over to cause excess noise. Great Quivers , IMHO.
HEY FRED!! :wavey:
Hey Scott, what's up?
Thanks guys!!!!
You don't need to cut it! The guys a RMSGEAR turn the strap around and tuck the end back through the hole it comes through. They also put the nub through the hole they want before they attach the quiver and then slide the quiver piece on over the end of the bow. I have to admit the way they do it looks very neat and tidy, I still do it normal because I want to be able to remove and install the quiver without unstringing the bow. Wish I had a picture to explain this better.
I cut mine then use one of my wife's brown hair rubber bands to hold down the tag end of the strap. No slap and you would never know the band is there
