Title: A&H ACS and Dryad ACS limbs
Post by: dougedwards on August 19, 2014, 07:33:00 PM
Are they interchangeable?  Does the A&H limbs fit a Dryad riser?  Just wondering.

No definitely not.  IMHO Dryad's version is a superior performer.  The CG's for sure.

Dratts....... A&H limbs are very rare to find in the classifieds.

What is the performance difference in the limbs and why? I have an A&H so I'm curious

I don't think anyone has tested them side by side.  I own A&H longbows and have shot Dryad longbow limbs.  I can't tell a noticeable difference either way.  Not familiar with the Dryad recurve limbs.

Groyce,

As writer and owner of the ACS patent you might expect that I've tested them side by side and I have.  I've said many times the difference is like comparing a light, nimble, and tricky Ferrari (A&H) to a blown, hammering, and sturdy Corvette (Dryad).

I designed them both and like them both very much.  Performance-wise there's essentially zero difference.  There are lots of differences in the two designs but they both go from zero to sixty in 3.8 seconds (to stretch the race car analogy a bit farther).

I guess it matters little if you are nimble or sturdy if the performance is the same.

Thanks John. All I can say is that I enjoy shooting it
