Working on a longbow, but as I've just got it first tillered, not sure on specs. Something a touch lower than that above, I can't always pull that.
Holy Cow, halfseminole! Do you really draw 38"?
Yup. Born with Marfan syndrome, I can draw up to 39" with a Kyudo draw, but 38" is my normal anchor spot. My arm span is 7' 4". We get disproportionate limb length in the deal. Bout the only good thing about the illness.
Wow. Guess you don't find too many "steals" on arrows!

going through the usual late summer ritual, i usually deciede what set up to start with about now, usually in our 5 month season i will change up some...spent a full day at the range yesterday , and have to start with the setup i shoot the best,
1. 60" 60# widow PSA 28 1/2" easton 2020's with zwickey delta 4 blade. this combo has killed a lot of critters for me and i have the utmost confidence in it.
2. 66" 56# DG Albright 1 pc longbow 28 1/2" 70-75 cedars and zwickey deltas this bow shoots like a dream and is perfectly tuned but i just shoot a recurve better.
3. 60" 56# widow PAX this is a new bow for me and im not perfectly dialed in yet but its really close using the above mentioned 2020's with a 160 gr magness 2 blade hopefully it will get off the bench mid season or so..

The bows I shoot are the ones in my signature. I shoot 31.25" 2018's out of the longbow, with 125 grain Simmons landsharks or Steelforce broadheads. I'm shooting the 68# limbs on the recurve, using 2419's with 175 grain Magnus 3-blade broadheads.
I've shot both all summer. Muscles are strong now and I really prefer the heavy bow this time around for some reason. But I know it's way more horsepower than I need for Midwest whitetails, especially with a long draw. And I'm aware that it might be a bit tougher to shoot well after sitting in a cold stand for a few hours.
Since I can switch back and forth and shoot them both decently, and the sight picture is similar for both, I'll likely use both of them, depending on the circumstances.
I've got a brand new Sarrels Blueridge takedown longbow I'll be taking to the woods this fall. 50.1# @ 29.5". The riser is ziracote with a red micarta accent stripe. The limbs are beautiful figured black walnut on the back and black glass on the belly. Limb tips and limb caps are kudu horn. Can't post pics yet because I don't pick her up for another couple days. I'll be using Gold Tip 55/75 arrows with 150gr German Kinetic Silverflame broadheads on the business end!
Good luck to everybody this coming season!

Hey sarge, where you been hiding?
Same ole Blacktail Elite I've been using. But I made some new hunting arrows with some wenge footed shafts I got from Ted Fry. Mounted up the Woodsman Elite's and they fly awesome and hit hard!

Ron, great seeing you still at the arrow making craft! Your arrows sure do have the look! Been hanging in there and looking forward to getting back out to the woods. Really hope to see another one of those great Blacktails that you always manage to catch. 'Course I know it comes from the hard work that you put in the woods too.

Thought it was going to be my Dauntless with Surewood shafts but I got bit by the D-bow bug, (can't get over how quiet they are!) so it's my yew limbed Liberty English; 66" long and 60# @ 28". Most consistent broadhead flight came from 31" CE Heritage shafts, 100 gr. brass inserts and 207gr. Simmons Treesharks for a 690 gr. arrow. They ride in an Absorkee Short Trail hip quiver. Bear TD -A riser with #3 RoseOak limbs, making a 60 inch bow at 52 pounds; with a Bighorn bow quiver.
Currently shooting 400 custom carbons that I made up and some 2117 aluminum arrows that I made for it. The 2117s are heavier and will likely be my choice for hog hunting. Both arrows shoot like laser beams out of this bow (if I can keep my shooting form under control, but that's another story). My broadheads are original Wensel Woodsman 3-blade.
My back up bow is another Bear TD.
Can't get over how pretty that Sasquatch is! Wow!
