Title: stands are hung and WW are sharp
Post by: joe ashton on August 17, 2014, 08:27:00 PM
Hi All
I spent the week end camped in elk country.  I hung 2 stands over wallows and then in the evenings I sat by the fire and sharpened my broad heads.
This season I will be using a 53# Pronghorn long bow,  gold tip shafts with 4 4" yellow feathers, 100gr brass insert and 125gr WW.
GOOD LUCK TO YOU ALL.
Joe
PS  1 week and 5 days.

Sounds like you're rearing to go. Good luck, still have about 6 weeks to go until deer season down here.

Good luck Joe.  Bet you can smell the backstrap cooking.  Getting ready is 1/2 the fun

One of the places I hunt was timbered over the summer; walked it last weekend and I have a stand I want to move now. Like the looks of how the changes will work for deer hunting.

Nights are cooling off here, Time is getting short everywhere.
You sound more ready than me, but we're more than a month away for whitetails.
Good luck and be safe.
