Hey all, first post here, though I've been lurking for a year or so since my return to trad archery.
Recently made sort of an "impulse" buy on a certain well known site, on an A.D.M Earth longbow.
Tried doing some research before the buy, but could only find one review of the bowyer.
Should be here within a couple weeks, but in the meantime I was wondering if anyone has experience with his bows? How's the craftsmanship?
It's a 60" 60#@27, looks like a R/D style.
Doug_K, I have no experience with his bows. But have you seen Pete Ward's review? Good luck with your A.D.M. Earth.
Yeah, Petes review was the lone source of info I was able to find, aside from a couple hunting stories.
This isn't exactly what you want, but you could try to call the bowyer. Maybe Pete still has his number or use the White Pages to search.
I might just do that. Pete has his number/email listed on his review, whether or not it's still active is another story.
I have one I purchased from the bowyer when he first started making them, mine is the Spirit model with double carbon. Workmanship is very good and has some innovations I would like to see on other bows. Mine is fast, smooth and quiet. I still like it a lot after all these years, although I don't shoot it that much anymore.
Excellent, that's just what I wanted to hear. :biglaugh:
Little update. The bow arrived yesterday, got a couple hundred arrows through it. It's a very sweet shooting bow.
Haven't tinkered with brace height yet, but there's a little hand shock and noise, confident I can get rid of it though.
For anyone that stumbles across this post looking for information on these bows in the future, Pete Ward's review was spot on. Heavy palm swell, narrow shelf (though it doesn't give me any problems, and I don't cant much.).
