It's official! The 2nd Annual Hog Wild hunt (aka The Revenge Hunt) is set for the first weekend in December!
Arrive the afternoon of Thursday, 12.04 for dinner, and then chase and eliminate as many porcine critters (and yes, Todd, armadillos :goldtooth: )!!!
Revenge is sweet!
A little reminder of last year's crew:

SCHEDULE (http://huntwildthings.com/schedule.htm) is updated so guys know what week to ask for.
Work approved my extra vacation days so I'm going to request a 5 day hunt for me.
Ready to hunt!!!
Thom
My anniversary is on the 3rd, so I'm pushing it close with the 4th (although I may be able to get there early enough for a hunt that day  )
I have been requested by Andrew to give priority to the Hog Wild alumni in filling spots first for this outing (makes sense)!
I have been informed that one of our 2013 hunters will not be able to make this date, so if you're interested in joining the fun, please pm me!
To fellow Hog Wild hunters (you know who you are ), please advise ASAP if you will be attending this years event, so that we can open up any available spots to others who want to join in!
This will be epic X2! :clapper: :biglaugh:
YeeeeeHaaaaaa! Looking forward to this.
I'll get my deposit in soon.
Joe
Just got word from James Pressley - he's in for this year! We're up to 4!
4 spots remaining!!
Well I hate to even post this but I won't be going this year. Sorry guys!
Dang it, man! You will be missed! Your stories and 'dilla quest were one of the highlight of year 1 :biglaugh: !!
Ok, fellow TG members, at this moment there is at least two open spots!
I will miss hunting with ya Todd, I'll let the dillas know that they are mostly safe. Mostly.
It will be great to see Joe and my other brother James again!
Thom
News from year 1 alum Brian "Big Sexy" Lance is that he has a conflict for that weekend :( . Your presence will be missed (as well as your cigar expertise).
THREE spots are open for this hunt! Contact me with questions!
Bob
Dang. I'm sure we will all miss Brian, Bud and Todd. They are all terrific men to share a hunt with. I guess we will make three new friends and expand the size of the Hog Wild tribe. That will be fine.
"We will kill no swine before its time." (Who is old enough to understand the reference of that quote?)
I hope you guys see some hogs!!!! :campfire:
Orson Wells Joe. Selling the wine ;)
You got it, Bud.
I won't be able to make the hunt this year. Hope to make it down to Wild Thing in Feb. or March. Good luck Bob, James, Joe and Thom! Stick a few hogs!
Alright fellow TG members! It looks like we have 4 spots that are open on this hunt!
Great property, excellent accommodations and meals, and Andrew is the consummate host!
The date, according to the solar/lunar calendar, is excellent for game movement - actually the best time of the entire month!!
We would love to have you join in the fun!!
TTT!
Tom let me know when you're coming down February or March. I should be able to make that and I would love to hunt with you again.
TTT for the week!
Doesn't anyone want to come out and play :biglaugh: !!
Todd, I will certainly let you know when in Feb or March I'd like to hunt at Wild Things. Good luck with your hunts this fall and be safe.
OK...I think Smokin Joe gets me a Free Pass...even if it is my aniversary. I'll check and see.
Man, I hate to hear those of you that aren't coming....would LOVE to have the original 'cast' back.....but it will be a hoot no doubt.
Lets see what the wife says.

Thom,
That picture really gets my heart pumping!!
Here piggy, piggy piggy!!!!
Not a day goes by that I don't think of Wild Things. What a special place! Our good friend Andrew has done wonders with the camp.
Each bowhunter on this site owes it to themselves to experience Wild Things at least once. But, like potato chips, you can't go just once. :)
We have our 8th hunt planned for March and I am already mentally packing and thinking of the swamp. I wish I could jump in on this hunt as I would love to meet you guys.
Good luck and leave a few for the tribe!
Dave
Thom,
That tree is INCREDIBLE.
:bigsmyl: :bigsmyl: :bigsmyl:
I know, ain't it sad Joe? Somebody needs to go take care of whatever is troubling these poor trees!
:archer2:
Dave,
If Camp Corbitt leaves some for the Tribe, I hope the Tribe will leave a few more for Camp Hambush! We thank you kindly for the ones you left for us last year. Two made it into the cooler even after Izzy killed his in the week between us.
I'm really looking forward to a report from Bud B in a little over a month!
Thom
I've been to Hog Heaven (Wild Things) twice in October. It's a whole lot different than in the winter.
More foliage means a darker creepier swamp. Wait 'til they see the big spiders and webs that look like they could stop a bird. Way cool! Lots of armadillos too. The first goup is going to have a ball.
:goldtooth:
TTT for a great time and a great TG Sponsor!

Does anyone on the Revenge Hunt Team want to set up a five-day hunt? I'm thinking it might be a good idea. I checked with Andrew and he is OK with the idea.
Man I'd love to do that! Let me check out my vacation balance and I'll let you know. It would be cool to have a couple extra days on the ground.
Thom
OK. Let me know.
Best I can do is get down early on the 4th (the 3rd is my 21st anniversary). If momma ain't happy,....! :biglaugh:
Hey Bob! I just got a call from a guy named Terry Green, he said he's coming and he's bringing someone with him.
That makes 6 hunters, wonder who else will get in on this?
Thom
Thanks Thom.....I still gotta get clearance and so does he...but I'm pretty sure we are there!!!
If Smokin Joe reads this, I bet he can guess who...
Its called payback :D
T
I forgot to post back here that I got the extra vacation so hopefully I'll be meeting up with him a few days early. You know, scout 'em out for the rest of you fellas!
Thom
This is going to be a great hunt.
Thom, send me a PM and we can set up a strategy for those extra days and then get in touch with Andrew.
Terry, get that clearance!!!!!
Terry,
Glad to hear that you will make it!
Gonna be a great hunt!
It's time to TTT this one! The last 3 hunts at Wild Things all had hogs shot and recovered, so the pressure is on us!
Todd and Bud made it sound like they were pretty thick in them opening weekend so hopefully we are too. I'm gonna bring a few hang-on stands and hog candy so I can setup my low-altitude attack plan over some trails. I look forward to arriving early and hunting with Joe so we can gather intel on their food and movement for everyone.
Just need to get one shot like this....

Thom
My next hunting goal is to go on one of these group hunts. Man, it seems like a blast. I have already maxed out this years hunting budget, but I am officially saving for next year. Best of luck guys!! Can't wait to read the stories.
Jake
TTT
Who else made it through bow season with an empty freezer? Two bunks still open!
Thom
Jake: You will have a great time with the "Hog Wild" gang. There are some great guys in the group.
Thom: The early intel group will turn out to be a good idea. We will have things scouted out and maybe even have a hog or two in the cooler before Thursday.
Hope so Joe!
I talked to Andrew today and he said to tell everyone to bring their SC big game license if they want to try to fill any doe tags too.
Terry, I owe you a callback but it sounds like you and Andrew caught up already. Feel free to give me a shout if you still want to catch up. I'm back in town, and there are too many guns in the woods to get me out this week.
Maybe tomorrow I'll start fermenting my batch of hog candy :goldtooth:
Thom
You all have fun. Out of reach for me at the moment but it won't be long.
Oh my goodness boys, it looks like weather couldn't be better for us! High 60s each day, low 50s at night, and NO MORE RAIN! If you haven't heard they got about 10" in the last couple weeks and there is a bunch of flooding.
http://www.weather.com/weather/tenday/l/Estill+SC+USSC0107:1:US
Scoutlook shows no to soft winds, and major game activity windows each morning starting just after sunrise.
Looks like everything is as good as we could hope! I look forward to seeing you guys there!
Thom
PS there are still two bunks open. If you were waiting to see the weather report before stepping forward, now is the time!!!
Well she's not that huge boar I was hoping for, but I feel quite blessed today. Real similar to my avatar picture except I have a beard now.
Back out to camp!
Thom
:campfire:
Alright, Thom  !! Sounds like there's at least one bloody arrow in camp!
I HATE that work commitments kept me from attending this year.
I will be back! Andrew still has my deposit and the $ 250 St. Jude's gift certificate is burning a hole in my pocket. Give my best to Joe and Terry (and of course Andrew).
Waiting for the stories!!
Looking forward to some stories?
Looking forward to some stories?
tuned in.. :campfire:
I'll be down to Andrew's in a few weeks with my brother, nephew and a buddy from my local range...can't wait. Lets see some pics and hear the story Thom!! :campfire:
Coming soon guys, I promise! Got a bit of a logjam at work while I was out last week.
Here is a teaser picture from last night to hold you over a bit.
