Title: Rec limbs to long bow limbs
Post by: Chub on August 08, 2014, 06:21:00 PM
Hello all.
I have had some shoulder issues and surgery. Doc says go ahead and shoot. I have been thinking of getting longbow limbs for my bob lee. Can I hear of any pros and or cons for those people that have switched to these limbs. Are they quieter faster , louder, more forgiving , ect .

                    Thanks chub.

Individual limb design from bowyer to bowyer will effect the questions you ask. Largest difference for me is less weight early in the draw cycle with longbow limb and it builds gradually. Longbows tend to be quieter also.

Longbow are easier on my shoulder due to the "less weight early" mentioned above.

Lee does a great job on their recurve and longbow limbs.  The longbow limbs are quieter, a handful of fps slower, potentially more forgiving, and it is correct that they have lower pounds/inch early in the draw.  Draw force curve feels more flat/linear.  If you like the recurve limbs I think you will enjoy the longbow limbs.
