Do to elbow pain (age). I will soon go from 55@my 30"
To 42@my 30" . Its been 30+ years since I have been at
this weight. This set up will be for whitetails in N Missouri a
Iowa. I would like to stay with Gold tip or CX for now. Any
help on arrow set up would be great. Both bows are BW
PSAX 62" and I shoot split fingers. Thanks
I would GT 35/55 and adjust point weight.
In my opinion the best way to tune when making big changes is go with aluminum arrows

I shoot a 45# bob lee and a 50# black widow, both with 3555's with 50 grains in the insert and a 125 grain point. I have a 28 inch draw and arrows seem to fly perfect.
I am using beeman ics hunters 500 spine with 100 grain brass insert and 100 grain FP. greta flight out of my 43# RER
I shoot full length CX heritage 150s with 150 grains up front. I also shoot 55-60 full length cedar arrows with 125 grains up front.
All out of a centershot longbow that is 40@30
all my bows are 42 to 48 lb's. I shoot CX heritage 150 with 100 grain brass inserts. I get excellent arrow flight.
you could probably shoot a 2016 and get good flight with a 125-145 grain point. 1916's full length might be a little weak. CE 90's might be a good choice too.
Easton Axis in most likely 500 spin with 50 gr brass insert and 125 gr tip. Cut to length that tunes right for you. Really nice arrow! Obviously if you put a lot more weight up front it makes arrow arch more and drop fast past 20 yds.
Also Easton FMJ and Beman Centershot are great.
I'm running full length 35/55's GT's with the standard insert and a 125g point through a Hummingbird that is 43# @ my 31" draw -- Perfect arrow flight!
That bow really, really, really likes full length 54-55# sitka's from Raptor Archery with a Zwickey eskimo leading the way. This set up will be with me when our season opens in 8 days!!!
