Title: Black Eagle Outlaw insert/footing question
Post by: sticksnstones on August 05, 2014, 10:57:00 PM
I just picked up a dozen .300 spine shafts and I'd like to up the ante over my old carbon setup. I need help with the tolerances of two pieces if anyone can help.

First, according to the    web page (http://www.simplytraditional.net/products-page/blackeagle/)  the inside diameter is .2445". I was hoping to use a 236gr one piece adapter that is designed for ICS/GT that has a diameter of .246". Is this too tight of a tolerance?

Second part is the footing, with an OD of .300" I'm guessing 2219 would be the best shaft. Anyone have any experience to share here? I'm pretty confident with this one, but I thought I'd toss this out as long as I was posting about the adapter.
Thanks!
Thom

2219 should make a good footing.

Thanks Jim, seen some of your footing in previous threads and they look good!

Still waiting to hear from the adapter manufacturer about the fit of the one piece adapter. I would love to get that front end built up a bit more!

I've interchanged .245 and .246 components. You just may be OK with that but I can't say for sure.Hopefully you will get an answer soon.
