For a few years I have been using the bear paw speed glove. I like the glove , but I seem to be going through one per season. With temps in the 80's even 90's during the rut we often hunt in light to moderate rain when possible. I have rattled buck after buck up in these conditions. The problem is , once this glove gets wet the leather tears easily. Is there a good dressing to prevent this or another way to preserve the leather?
I use Montana Pitch Blend on all my leathers. My gloves hold up a long time.
I just got my first Speed Glove and although I really like the way it performs it does seem to me that the leather is rather fragile...I doubt that any sort of dressing will prevent it from tearing...I think in those conditions I would want to go to a Cordovan tab...that is tough stuff which I would guess would just get slicker when wet
