It was a long day at the shop shooting bows and finding snakes and frogs. Dint even make down the road 10 min and asleep with my bow in hand. He went about half way home holding on to that thing. I just had to have a picture( I did stop the car to take that pic LOL)
I think hes going to my little bow hunter for sure

Too sweet! I have one of those too (a son that age) and he has the same affection for his hickory selfbow we made together.
I always say..."it's about 100 units of heavy lifting for a few units of complete and utter happiness that make you so proud!"
Congrats Dad...you're the best!
Kris
That is priceless! They grow up way to fast.
 He's hooked.........
First class pic there for sure man! Those are the greatest moments cherish everyone...
My wife is out of town, so I might try it tonight.
Not exactly the same thing, but I fall asleep with my bow a couple times each year once hunting season begins. Nothing like the quietness of the woods ......
Good Shooting,
Craig
That's cool..
Oh that's funny. I gotta boy due Oct. 27.
Great pic.
I doze off with my bow in hand every once in awhile in the woods. The combination of having to stay up too late, get up too early, and make an hour long walk to where I need to be before the sun comes up does that to me once or twice a year. Best nap ever lol!
I've always kinda thought it was funny how the slightest sound of rustling leaves could wake me from my slumber though. It's like my hunting subconscience wakes me up when deer are around.....kinda makes me wonder what it may have slept through though!
AWESOME!!!!
Bisch
That is too cool!!
Looks like a nice JSweka bow in his hands:) Very cool!
Great pic Gary!
He just wanted to make sure you didn't put any more scratches on it - LOL

I sleep with by bow just about every time I go hunting. This little guy is getting a head start. By the time he gets old enough to hunt, he will be a world class stand sleeper. Cute pic!
Great. I have one of my 2 year old grandson readin Bowhunt America. I have a copy of the pic in my office.
That's great.
Last time I fell asleep with my bow was when my good friend Hubi visited me last week and we drunk too much wine after the shooting... :) ))))) :dunno:
Very cool! I sleep with mine around midday just about every day during elk season! And sometimes during turkey season, I need my naps!
" as visions of (critters to shoot) dance in his head"
Love it
Cool pic! If I took a pic of one of my kids when they were young like you did yours, I would get a "thanks dad for embarrassing me".
I've posted this before, but it remains my personal favourite of the thousands of pictures we have snapped in the last nearly 2 years.

My wife told me yesterday that they were watching the Disney film "Brave" and Desmond was "giggling with pure joy when the dad was teaching the princess to shoot her bow"
Just another year or two and he will hopefully be stumpshooting right along with me.
