Title: Fletching
Post by: MnFn on August 04, 2014, 08:22:00 PM
When using Bohning fletching glue, how long do you leave the clamp on the arrow (Bitz fletcher) before you move on to the next feather?

15 to 20 minutes if you are referring to Fletch Tite.

When I use a wrap I only let each set for 5 minutes.

As mentioned above, 20 minutes is adequate.  If you have a single jig like I have, try this.  In the evening glue on a feather and go watch tv for a half hour.  When the show is over or the 1/2 hour commercials come on, do another feather.  You'll be letting the glue set long enough and won't have to watch commercials!

I usually let it sit for 10-15 minutes.

With woodies and poly finish I use duco and let it sit an hour I have multi fletchers though had to many slip with less time. Be my way for 25 years.
