I acquired a GN quick detach quiver in a trade and have a slight problem with it.
How do you out the 2 arrows in on the bow side of the quiver easily?
I can't get them in without having to pay careful attention and the 2 on the inside take twice as long as the 3 on the outside.
I believe you can move the bow quiver out further away from the bow to create more space between the quiver and the bow on the GN quick detach.
I onlay use 3 arrows so I never had that issue to deal with.I put those on the outside.
I do like the balance of the bow best with the quiver riding as close to the bow as possible with the quick detach quiver.
I don't take the inside arrows out until the outside (and more easily accessed) arrows are used up.
Typically Though, those inside slots are carrying blunts or judos...something I am not worried about the easiest access to.
yeah. It really wouldn't matter during a hunting scenario, it is just bothersome while practicing. I like to try to fill my quiver so i can get the bow close to hunting weight.
Been using Great Northerns since they started making them. Still have my old four arrow strap on they started with. Once you get used to them, arrows in and out become second nature. As With Steve O the back row is reserved for one or two Judo points. The three in the outside row are for my broadheads, pulling them out in a specific order with #1 in the middle, #2 closest to me followed by #3. Done it so much over the years I do it without thinking. I like the fact that the one in the front second row is a little tougher to get at, never have to worry about launching a small game arrow at a big game critter in a pressure situation or during a quick reload.
very good point!! I will keep that in mind. While hunting on public land, you can't have anything but a hunting point(broadhead) in your quiver or is a heavy ticket.
