Finally decided to officially hang up the Groves Spitfire and give him his place on the wall next to my Stewart Multi Cam T/D.
Like an aging ballplayer...time to retire and not get hurt. The Spitfire filled the freezer every year and I made some memorable shots with him. I decided this year to use my "old" Browning Cobra, which I babied by just using it for Spring Turkey.
So this year three bows will be dragged around. "JK" my Kempf longbow, "Lefty" my Fedora recurve and "The Cobra". Doug Fir arrows from Surewood Steve are in order and I'll use some old Quillian SuerpCeeders out of the Browning. On the business end will be 2 blade Deltas and Eskimos, a few Pearson Deadheads and Schulz Hunter heads.
Two more months and counting....

Looks like your set Joe ... great looking bows
My Stewart Multi-cam has been retired about four years now, just too heavy for me on first draw if sitting in a tree on a cold winters day ... that bow was a killer
Hey Joe, whats the deal with the groves??? too much weight?
I'm glad you have all those great memories with it.
The others in your line up look great!
The Groves isnt ready! I can feel it.....it is calling my name.
Great looking setups!
Nice stuff!
I like the Stewart Multi Cam
