My Kodiak Hunter is 47 at my 29" draw. Shoots 30" God Tip 3555 with a 50 grain insert and 145 grain point like darts. Seems weak to me but works well. Any reason why? Thoughts?
No problem if it shoots. I shoot 3555 with 225 up front out of my 56# great northern.
Hey if it works.......don't mess with it!

You are absolutely in the ball park. Don't be surprised at all.

I'm not sure why you're surprised. I'm shooting the same thing, but with 125 gr points out of my 46 - 47# bows and they bare-shaft perfectly. If I shoot a group of 5 arrows with 2 of them bare shafts, the slicks will probably be somewhere near the center of the group. For hunting, I take out the 50 gr weights and substitute a 160 or 175 gr BH. Works great.
At your draw that sounds just about right.
I've been doing a lot of bare shaft tuning lately with my Damon Howatt Coronado 50@28 and I draw about 27" All bare shaft shots are shot at 20 yrds no paper tuning.
My 3555 are cut to 28.5 I have 100gr brass insert and it took a 200gr field point, but they fly like darts now.
My 5575 are cut to 31" also have 100gr brass insert and they also took a 200gr field point, but they to fly like darts.
Bare shafts don't lie and they can really reveal a lot about your setup
I'm shooting 29" 3555's with 225 grains on the nose of mine. Shoot them out of my blackwidow 51#'s @ 28" and my draw is only 27-27 1/2" so I figure I'm in the 47-48# range and the fly great!!!
