I was very fortunate to see the entire film the other day. It is EXCELLENT. It is like a mini "Primal Dreams" with excellent cinematography and deals with why we hunt the way we do.
The film debuts next Friday (Aug 1) at The Hunting Film Tour in Bozeman MT and will be traveling the country for the next few months.

Is there a schedule of showings? Would love to see it if it comes out to the Chicago area...

When will it be available for purchase? Anyone know
Chad, I talked to Clay yesterday to make sure it was OK to make a post and when it would be available for purchase.
After the film tour, it will be on his website and FREE for all to see. He never intended it to be for sale.
I was even more impressed when I heard that.
I was very impressed with it as well. Clay has done a great job.

Thanks for the link.
I watched it and told my wife if she wants to understand me better to sit down and watch it and she did. She also liked it.
Wow...gave me goose bumps just watching the trailer.
That shot of the bugling elk reflecting off his eyes is pretty amazing!
In a time with so many obnoxious and embarrasing "hunting" films it's nice to see one like this that actually makes you proud of what we do and how we do it! Nice work Clay and thanks for posting Steve.
Looks incredible.
I really enjoy Clay Hayes videos on you tube.
Beautiful video.
The terrain, the sights, I can smell the air, hear the creek, and feel the hair on my neck stand up. Give us more!
Cant wait to check it out Friday with my Dad (in town for vacation)
I really like Clay's videos
Clay - you are one talented dude!
That is great stuff. Can't wait to see the rest of it.
This looks really good.
The Hunting Film Tour is coming to Billings next week (Tuesday, August 5th). Looking forward to seeing Clay's film then.
 The trailer is great! Would love to see the entire production!!
Very well done. Hope I get to see the rest.
I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the opening night of The Hunting Film Tour in Bozeman last night. Clay really did us proud. All the films were well done and thoughtful and no matter what kind of weapon was used showed the love, passion, and respect for the hunt and the prey.
If you have an opportunity to attend, and can get over the fact not everyone in all the films is using a stickbow, it will be an evening well spent.
Will it ever come further east than Ohio?
:archer:
That did my soul well just watching that trailer! Thanks for posting... can't wait to see the whole thing.
Thanks Steve for posting the trailer and sorry for jumping in on this thread so late. I started this back in 2011... I think. And just wrapped up the final edits early this spring. Even for a 15 min film it's a tremendous amount of work for one guy in his spare time. But it's something I felt passionate about; it's a story that needs telling.
You can bet there'll be more on the way. By the time this one is made public next summer, I'll be well into my next one, and it won't take 3 years to finish..
Thanks for the kind words everyone and I'm glad the folks who are seeing it are happy with it. It's an honor to hear from so many hunters, both trad and not, saying that this film truly does express the why of hunting. And even more gratifying is hearing from non-hunters that are a little closer to understanding why we do what we do.
Anyone who sees it on the tour, post a note on here to let us know what you think.
thanks again,
ch
